Premium Bentonite Mining, Processing & Supply
Ganatra Mines & Minerals (GMM) is primarily engaged in exploring mining reserves and producing industrial minerals.
The company owns rich bentonite mining areas and manages modern mineral processing facilities. We process and supply high-quality Bentonite powder and lumps to domestic manufacturers, refineries, construction projects, and exporters.
Kachchh is globally recognized for high-quality sodium bentonite deposits. GMM uses advanced milling and refinement technologies to ensure our bentonite powder matches precise swelling, filtration, and viscosity properties required by various industries.
Exploring, Mining & Supplying Premium Ores (Since 1997)
Established in the year 1997, Ganatra Mines & Minerals (GMM) holds direct ownership of extensive mining areas that are primarily rich reserves of high-grade Bentonite. The company is actively engaged in exploring, mining, processing, and supplying superior quality mineral ores across global and domestic markets.
As a leading supplier of Bentonite Powder and Lumps, GMM possesses decades of management and operational expertise in ensuring that raw ores are precisely extracted, refined, and delivered to exact client specifications.
The company’s headquarters and state-of-the-art production centers are strategically located in Kachchh, Gujarat. This location provides a tremendous logistical advantage, as Kachchh is a mineral-rich district featuring a vast sea-coast with major international export hubs at Kandla Port and Mundra Port, located just 70 km away from Bhuj for rapid worldwide shipping.
Geological Superiority of Kachchh Sodium Bentonite
Kachchh District is globally renowned for its extraordinary mineral wealth, where non-metallic minerals like Bentonite, Bauxite, Limestone, Gypsum, Lignite, China Clay, and Silica occur in vast abundance with superior natural properties.
Bentonite Clay Composition: Bentonite in clay form is predominantly composed of the mineral "Montmorillonite", mixed with related layered minerals like Nontronite and Beidellite. These are three-layered aluminosilicates with water molecules situated between layers. Chemically, Bentonite occurs in Sodium and Calcium varieties (also known as Fuller's Earth). Among all Bentonite deposits worldwide, the Sodium variety exhibits the highest swelling, gelling, high viscosity, and superior liquid limit capabilities.
Natural Formation: Kachchh Bentonite was formed millions of years ago from volcanic ash settling in stagnant saline water under semi-arid conditions. Due to the unique volcanic ash characteristics, Kachchh Sodium Bentonite possesses a higher natural iron content giving it a distinct darker shade along with extraordinary swelling capacity and bonding powers unmatched across the world.
Self-Reliant Mining, Milling & Quality Processing
The refinement process begins with scientific excavation of the mineral from our open-cast mines, after which the raw clay is sun-dried and chemically treated. The cured products are milled to the exact degree of fineness required by specific industry scheduling grades using heavy-duty Raymond Type 5-Roller Mills.
Each batch of final product undergoes rigorous quality and grade testing in our laboratory, followed by automated and manual packaging (50 kg bags or 1 MT Jumbo Bags) as per client shipping requirements.
Owned Mining Reserves: The company directly owns prime mining sites at Hamla and Vandh in Kachchh District. GMM takes immense pride in complete self-dependence across milling and internal logistics, maintaining its own fleet of Excavators, Loaders, Dumpers, Forklifts, and Trailers to guarantee zero downtime and timely delivery.
